There is a need to consolidate workloads and reduce the number of datacenters, yet still provide low latency access to users in remote locations thus giving rise to the need for Edge clouds. Using VMC on AWS not only allows the delivery of services to those locations where datacenters are being de-commissioned but also provides a costing model that reflects the usage profile in those remote locations. Access to corporate data will still be required at the Edge. Learn how Dell EMC Unity Cloud Edition (CE) together with Cloud Tiering Appliance (CTA) provides a mechanism for accessing this data yet still keeping the data secured.
